Niniejsza praca podejmuje temat trudności, z jakimi funkcjonariusze działu ochrony Zakładu Karnego w Czerwonym Borze mierzą się przy wypełnianiu ustawowych zadań Służby Więziennej. Przedstawiono w nim kluczowe czynniki wpływające na skuteczność służby, takie jak niedobory kadrowe, rozbudowana biurokracja, wymagania infrastrukturalne czy wyzwania związane z motywacją i współpracą w zespole. W opracowaniu wskazano również rozwiązania, których wprowadzenie może sprzyjać potencjalnej poprawie funkcjonowania działu ochrony.

This paper deals with the difficulties faced by officers of the security department of the Red Bar Penitentiary in fulfilling the statutory tasks of the Prison Service. It presents key factors affecting the effectiveness of the service, such as staff shortages, extensive bureaucracy, infrastructure requirements or challenges related to motivation and cooperation in the team. The study also indicates solutions, the introduction of which may contribute to the potential improvement of the functioning of the security department.
