Tematem pracy licencjackiej jest zakład karny jako miejsce pracy funkcjonariuszy Służby Więziennej – zagrożenia na przykładzie Zakładu Karnego w Rawiczu. Praca przedstawia problemy z jakimi mierzą się funkcjonariusze Służby Więziennej, podczas wykonywania swoich obowiązków w zakładach karnych. Służba Więzienna jest umundurowaną jednostką, która swoje działania opiera na przepisach prawa. Aby zrozumieć w jaki sposób funkcjonuje personel penitencjarny, trzeba poznać historię
i strukturę organizacyjną zakładów karnych. Celem pracy jest analiza zagrożeń,
z jakimi spotykają się funkcjonariusze Służby Więziennej podczas pełnienia służby
w zakładzie karnym.. W pracy założono, że funkcjonariusze są narażeni na różnego rodzaju zagrożenia ze względu na wykonywaną funkcję. Przeprowadzono badania i sprawdzono postawy osób pracujących w zawodzie funkcjonariusza SW oraz ukazano ich pracę w jednostce penitencjarnej jako elementu, który stwarza sytuacje zagrażające życiu. W badaniu uczestniczyło 50 funkcjonariuszy Służby Więziennej pracujących w Zakładzie Karnym w Rawiczu, użyto kwestionariusza ankiety składającego się z 13 pytań z czego jedno stanowiło pytanie otwarte. Przeprowadzone badania w dalszym etapie porównane zostały z hipotezami badawczymi, które się potwierdziły.

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the prison as a place of work for the Prison Service officers – threats on the example of the Rawicz Prison. The work presents the problems faced by Prison Service officers while performing their duties in correctional facilities. The Prison Service is a uniformed unit that bases its activities on the law. To understand how prison staff functions, you need to know the history and the organizational structure of correctional facilities. The aim of the research was to confront the concept of prison officer work with the threats they experience while on duty. The work assumed that officers are exposed to various types of threats due to their role. Research was conducted, and the attitudes of people working in the SW profession were checked, and their work in a penitentiary unit was shown as an element that creates life-threatening situations. In the research, the following aspects were analyzed: the role of the prison officer in the penitentiary system, the organizational structure of the penitentiary system, and the organizational structure of correctional facilities.
